We took over this mission from my dear and late father, Arif Göçmen. This structure, which carries not only his dreams but also his determination, holds deep personal meaning for us beyond being a commercial brand—therefore, it is truly precious.
This brand journey, which began in a small workshop in 1960 with Arif Göçmen, continues today in full-capacity production facilities. At the point we have reached, we are proud to offer solutions to construction companies across Turkey and in over 100 countries through our 64 direct international distributors. Today, when it comes to rebar cutting and bending machines, GMS is the first name that comes to mind. As a brand of trust and quality, GMS is always the preferred choice.
We have achieved most of our dreams and goals. But for us, success is not a destination—it is a path that must be walked tirelessly and continuously. The journey of Göçmaksan, which began in 1960, is not only a story of family success but also a legacy of a well-established brand built on trust and quality. This journey was founded by my grandfather, Arif Göçmen.
As a child, I grew up listening to his passionate stories—stories that have always inspired me and helped shape the core values behind GMS’s success today.
The contribution of my father, Mehmet Göçmen, and my aunt, Sultan Elif Göçmen, in making Göçmaksan a global brand is enormous. Their leadership has played a key role in turning GMS into an international force. Together with them, we continue to work shoulder to shoulder today, making decisions collaboratively and carrying our brand into the future.
My father’s business vision has also shaped my own understanding of leadership, and his guidance continues to be a great source of strength on our brand’s growth journey. Aligning a strong legacy brand with today’s rapidly changing world requires not just responsibility, but a delicate balance. My greatest supporter in this process is my sibling, Gülay Göçmen. We must both remain rooted in our traditions and take bold, visionary steps forward. This is one of the biggest challenges in achieving sustainable success in the business world.
